What is life coaching?
Many people are familiar with counseling and therapy, but they might not know much about life coaching.
Counseling and therapy focus on healing past traumas, emotional wounds, or mental illnesses. Life coaching, however, starts with someone who is already emotionally healthy and helps them move forward to achieve their goals or improve certain areas of their life.
While personal training keeps your body healthy and strong, life coaching focuses on your mind. It helps you clear your thoughts, process emotions, set goals, and create plans to achieve them. Life coaching applies to all areas of life, promoting overall personal growth and success.
Life coaching involves a confidential, ongoing, one-on-one relationship where the coach helps the client make better decisions, explore different choices, and overcome obstacles and limiting beliefs. This support helps clients focus better and achieve their goals. Coaching is centered on the client’s needs, with the coach providing guidance and support.
While both counseling/therapy and life coaching involve confidential, one-on-one relationships, there are key differences.
Life Coaching:
- Action-oriented
- Focuses on the present and future
- Helps clients move forward from an already healthy state
- Accelerates progress
- Encourages clients to take their goals and themselves more seriously
- Provides unbiased support
- Offers strategies and suggestions
Counseling/Therapy:
- Focuses on the past
- Aims to heal emotional issues and trauma
- Helps clients achieve a healthy, stable state
- More discussion-oriented, focusing on internal issues
- Encourages clients to find their own solutions
what you’ll learn through coaching:
Your success begins and ends with you.
The ability to change your life starts once you become aware of the thoughts you think about every single day.
Your thoughts create your feelings.
It’s not other people or your circumstances that cause you to feel a certain way – it’s your thoughts about those people or circumstances that do.
Your feelings trigger your behavior.
Once you understand that your emotions cause your actions, and your actions determine your results, you’ll have the power to completely transform your life.
What results can you expect from life coaching?
If you’re the type of person who loves personal growth and constantly reads self-help books, life coaching is for you.
Chances are, you’re happy with your life, yet there’s a part of you that craves more. A part that wants to push the boundaries to find out what else is possible for your life. Coaching will help you with that.
If you’re ready to fully commit to yourself and the coaching process, you’ll gain clarity and confidence in your life. You’ll learn how to set and achieve your goals, and you’ll experience renewed energy and enthusiasm, empowering you to face and overcome any challenges or obstacles in your path.
Are you afraid to take a leap and risk everything to achieve your dreams?
I know you’re tired, but you’re not a quitter, and this isn’t the finish line. You were created for a purpose and only you are responsible for who you become and how happy you are.
The key to creating a life you love is believing that you deserve happiness and taking daily steps that your future self will thank you for. Show up for yourself, even when it’s hard, and never let anyone else control your dreams.
The actions you take today will shape your future. If you’re not moving toward your dreams, it’s okay to change directions.
If you’re ready to stop letting fear and insecurity dictate your life, six months from now you can be in a completely different place mentally, financially, physically, and spiritually. Keep working, keep believing in yourself. I believe in you, and I’m here to help.
